Drafting

I just recently signed up to take part of NaNoWriMo, and I am going to try to blog about what I'm doing. If I don't kill myself with all the writing I'm going to be doing. 50,000 words between November 1st and November 30th. I'm kind of excited to start writing this "novel" because I've always been a writer. I just haven't been able to ever finish any of my stories. I always hit a snag somewhere. Something that I write doesn't match up with what I want to write, or it starts to sound too much like a book I just finished reading. Which is something that I don't want to do. I want my story to be as original as it can be considering how many different types of stories have been told.

I already have an idea in mind... well two at this point. Both were dreams that I had. One a month or two ago, and I wrote down the opening scene. The other was one that I had last night. I wrote what I think would be the summary.

So now that it's almost 2 am and I'm pretty sure I've done all that I've wanted to do with setting up this new adventure of mine, I should probably get to sleep. I gotta get up and walk the dog before I can get ready for the day. I'm going apple picking with my friend. Isn't that super-exciting?? I think so!!
